Zimbabwe editor released from hospital after shooting

Abdel Mutsanki, editor of Johannesburg-based ZimOnline, has been released from hospital after being shot last week.

One of the bullets was so close to his heart that doctors decided to leave it where it was.

Police are still investigating the motive for the shooting, according to a local source.

Mutsanki is a former managing editor of the leading Daily News in Zimbabwe, which was banned by the government four years ago. He moved to South Africa and established ZimOnline, criticising the Mugabe government's social and economic policies.
