The number of readers grew for only two of Italy's ten major dailies, according to a readership survey released Tuesday by Publicitas.
Il Resto del Carlino saw readership go up to 1,197,000 in 2007, up from 1,131,000 in 2006. Il Giornale's readers grew to 655,000 in 2007, from 648,000 in 2006.
