EdImpresa to create Internet provider for young people

Media group Impresa SGPS has announced its 50 percent owned EdImpresa publisher will create an Internet company providing content specifically for a younger audience.

EdImpresa will hold a 51 percent stake in the new company, Netjovens Internet.

Lisbon-based Impresa also stated in a stock market filing that EdImpresa has the option to buy on another 24 percent of Netjovans, which would take place in 2010, according to a report by AFX News Limited, posted on the Forbes Web site.

Edimpresa has invested less than one million euro to create the new Internet company, the media group stated.
