Iranian newspaper plans to reach across Middle East

An Arabic-language newspaper published by Iran's state news agency plans to reach farther into the Middle East, the newspaper Asharq Alawsat reported.

Al-Wifaq is interested in publishing in some Arab countries, specifically Iraq and the Gulf countries, the Arabic-language newspaper's editor-in-chief, Museeb Naeemi, told Asharq Alawsat.

He also said the newspaper plans on publishing a Lebanese version, according to the International Journalists' Network.

The Islamic Republic News Agency, an arm of the Iranian government, publishes Al-Wifaq.
