Report: Gannett may sell TV Division

According to a report from Gimme Credit LLC, Gannett, the largest newspaper publisher in the United States, may spin off its TV business.

But if so, the impact would be "minimal" to the publisher.

Newspapers represent almost 90 percent of Gannett's revenues. "Since the fortunes of the newspaper segment appear to be getting worse as opposed to better, we believe Gannett will be forced to make strategic moves regarding its business structure," wrote senior analyst at GC, Dave Novosel, who has a sell recommendation on Gannett, according to Media Post.
