The New York Times Company announced Tuesday that total revenues from continuing operations were up five percent in September compared with the same period last year.
Ad revenues increased 5.5 percent and circulation revenues rose 4.1 percent.
Advertising revenues for the News Media Group, which has benefited from strong growth in national advertising, rose 18.9 percent, including gains in both print and online, the release said.
The About Group again marked strong ad gains in September, growing by 39.1 percent.
