Reiner Mittelbach, CEO of Ifra, announced that in January 2008 they would launch a vertical search engine for the newspaper.

The search engine will be an easy-to-use tool to find news, information and reports on the newspaper business, according to Mittelbach at the Beyond the Printed Word conference in Dublin.

The project, being planned for over two years, indexes various sources of information and news from the industry worldwide, Editor & Publisher reported.

An official announcement of this project will be made in December.
