USA Today expands online and TV properties

The television arm of USA Today announced Tuesday it will launch a number of online and traditional TV programmes.

USA Today Live will debut two new celebrity-focused online video functions on USAToday.com. "CelebWatch" will feature celebrity interviews, and "CelebStyle" will cover celebrity fashion and how to obtain it.

USA Today Live will launch a six-part series "City Limits Fishing" on the cable channel Versus, which starts Feb. 15.

On Feb. 19, USA will debut an eight-part weekly series "10 Great Reasons." For HD channel Mojo HD, USA will have a 10-part series "Gotta Get Gold" focusing on athletes' training for the Olympics starting July 28, weeks before the Beijing Olympics are set to begin.

USA Today Live has produced several news, sports and fitness programmes for Versus and HDNet, and USAToday.com as well. Since 2000, it started to feed video versions of USA Today content to 22 Gannett Broadcasting television stations, MediaPost reported.
