Trinity Web site gets makeover

Trinity Web site gets makeover

The Coventry Telegraph is the most recent Trinity Mirror regional title to experience an online makeover, the HoldtheFrontPage.co.uk reported Tuesday.

A large piece of coventrytelegraph.net has been set aside for nostalgia and old pictures of the city. Regular visitors will also notice a new section dedicated to yesteryear in England's Midlands city.

The pictures on the Coventry Telegraph Web site include that of old school classes and sports teams, contributed by readers. Some of the pictures date back more than 110 years.

According to Alan Kirby, Telegraph editor, “of course, the new website is about breaking news and sport but our historic picture archives are immense and offer a unique glimpse into Coventry's past,” Journalism.co.uk reported.

The Telegraph joined other Trinity Mirror titles such as the Birmingham Post and Mail in order to profit from a digital revamp program that began last summer, according to HoldtheFrontpage.co.uk.
