Guardian signs Web video deal with Blinkx

Guardian.co.uk and video search service Blinkx have partnered a second time, signing a deal for the Guardian's Web site to share advertising revenue around its online content, the Guardian reported Wednesday.

The Guardian's online content will now be shown on the Blinkx service combined with news providers such as, CNN, the BBC and Fox News. The video will be maintained by contextual advertising from Blinkx's ADHC platform.

“We are looking to do a range of deals and though they will be a small slice of revenue each time, we are expecting those to add up,” Adam Freeman, the Guardian's commercial director, stated in the Guardian article.

This is the second deal the Guardian has made with third party sites to pull in more revenue for its content. Joost is another online video service the Guardian has signed a deal with.
