Nashville free daily shifts to twice-weekly publication

The City Paper, a free daily in Nashville, will switch from a daily model to a twice weekly model at the end of April, Newspaper Innovation reported Tuesday.

The last daily issue will be printed April 25.

The free daily was founded in November of 2000, but has been struggling to make a profit since it launched, free-daily.com reported.

The shift to a twice-a-week model occurred along with the sale of the paper to local company SouthComm Communications, according to Newspaper Innovation.
