Yahoo has signed onSearch partnerships with five mobile operators in the Asia Pacific region, Digital Media Asia reported Tuesday.

Yahoo will partner with Hong Kong CSL, Mahanagar Telephon Nigam (MTNL in India), Digital Mobile Phlis (Sun Cellular in Philippines), Vibo Telecom (Taiwan) and Smart Communications (Philippines).

Other mobile initiatives Yahoo announced for the region include localised versions of Yahoo! Go 3.0 for India, Southeast Asia and Australia, Digital Media Asia reported. This includes an English version of Yahoo oneSearch with voice that recognises regional accents, as well as a local language version for Indonesia.
