Most of American viewers watched online video at home, according to the 2006 online video survey conducted by the Online Publishers Association and Frank N. Magid Associates, SFN's World Digital Media Trends 2007 reported.

According to the survey, 14 percent of respondents watched online video at home on a daily basis, 19 percent viewed it several times a week, while another 6 percent did so on a weekly basis. Only 4 percent of respondents said they had never watched an online video at home.

Work was the second most popular location for online video viewing. Nearly 20 percent said they had viewed an online video in the workplace at least once per week, though more than 50 percent had never done so at work.

School and other public places with WIFI access were least popular for viewing online videos. More than 70 percent said they had never viewed an online video at school, while about 80 percent said the same for public places with wireless Internet access, according to World Digital Media Trends 2007.
