iToday.ru, an online newspaper focusing on the Web and IT industry, was launched in Russia last Tuesday, gipp.ru reported Wednesday.
The Russian IT market is expected to boom until 2011, according to the Russia IT and Outsourcing Industry Forecast.
Software exports grew by nearly 39 percent from 2002 to 2006. IT expenditure by SMBs (small and mediums businesses) is expected to rise to US$20 billion by 2011, PR-inside.com reported.
Andrei Annenkov, the newly appointed chief editor of iToday.ru, said there is “space for one more publication” in the digital media industry that covers the IT market, according to gipp.ru.
