French TV channels are benefiting from the Olympic Games in Beijing, Le Figaro reported last Friday.
Four out of five viewers chose the public France Télévisions (FT) channels, with France 2 and France 3 attracting an average of 1.3 million viewers between 3 a.m. and 8:20 p.m. (CET).
On the FT channels, more than four million people watched French athlete Laure Manaudou competing last Sunday at 2:30 pm (CET).
During the night, however, France 2 and France 3 audiences multiplied tenfold, Le Figaro reported.
The channels Canal+ and Eurosport also saw audience growth, with the latter seeing a doubling in figures.
