Traffic to consumer magazine Web sites increased 8.5 percent in the second quarter, compared to the same period last year, the Magazine Publishers of America announced Tuesday, MediaBistro reported.
The rise in user numbers is more than double the rate of growth for the entire U.S. Internet audience.
Another good sign for the print industry is that visitors to Web sites stayed on the site longer than in the past, according to MediaBistro.
Average monthly unique users to consumer magazine sites was 69.7 million, than five million more than in 2007.
