Nokia Media Network expands with European media giants

Nokia Media Network will grow even larger, as publishers across Europe, including Agence France-Presse, Grupo Prisa, RTL Mobile and Trinity Mirror join forces with the mobile advertising network, Nokia announced Tuesday.

The network helps advertisers target consumers via mobile publishing. Previously, Reuters, Cosmopolitan and AccuWeather had signed on with NMN. New additions include RTL Mobile, Germany; Cuatro, Spain; Unidad Editorial, Spain; CNet, United Kingdom; Telegraph Media Group, United Kingdom; and the pan European International Herald Tribune.

Operators that were already part of the network include Sprint and Airtel, as well as Nokia services MOSH, Widsets and Nokia.mobi, according to the Nokia press release. Average click-through rates on the NMN are at 10 percent.

“Agence France-Presse has joined the Nokia Media Network, because Nokia has demonstrated leadership in building a global mobile advertising service,” said Otman Meriche, Agence France-Presse business development manager, according to the Nokia release. “Our advertisers are looking for brand-safe, high performance media, and Nokia's understanding of the mobile channel is unrivalled.”

Nokia's Head of Interactive Advertising, Tom Henriksson, said Nokia will continue to “fortify” the network with top publishers.
