Yahoo! Buzz, the Web portal's social news site, is now available on mobile through a new widget which allows people to see the top "buzzed" stories in the last 12 hours, Media Post reported.

By clicking on stories, users will see a summary and image, which are linked to the publishers' site for the full story. A site tailored for iPhone users will be available too.

The new widget is now available via the Yahoo! Go suite of mobile applications.

Yahoo! recently opened up its Digg-like service to online publishers including bloggers and top news sites to contribute links. Initially it limited the pool of content providers to about 400 sites, Media Post reported.
