Swiss free daily .ch will get a makeover at the end of October, as its home delivery will be stopped, Newspaper Innovation reported Tuesday.

The free daily, launched in September 2007, will be mostly available in public transportation centres, where it will compete head-to-head with 20 Minuten and News.

.ch boxes in public transport areas will increase from 650 to 2,000, which is likely to net more readers per copy than home delivery, according to Newspaper Innovation.

Within the first months of 2008, the paper had around 204,000 readers with a circulation of 370,000, which is less than one reader per copy, Newspaper Innovation reported.
