3G mobile phone sales and subscribers in Europe are expected to grow by 2010, according to data from Exane BNP Paribas, SFN's World Digital Media Trends 2008 reported.
3G mobile phone sales in Europe increase from about 30 million in 2006 to 140 million in 2010.
The 3G subscribers in Europe totalled about 50 million in 2006 and will reach about 170 million in 2010, according to Exane BNP Paribas.
In terms of the 3G reach of total broadband-enabled mobile phone sales, the rate boosted from about 20 percent in 2006 to exceed 80 percent in 2010. On the other hand, the 3G reach of total mobile broadband subscribers was less than 20 percent in 2006, but is expected to rise to nearly 40 percent in 2010, according to the World Digital Media Trends 2008 report, released by SFN and the World Association of Newspapers.
