A free Romanian evening daily will launch Friday, with a print run of more than 25,000 copies, Newspaper Innovation reported Tuesday.
Adevarul de Seara (The Evening Adevarul) will be launched by paid morning paper Adevarul in five markets, including Bucharest and Cluj.
Adevarul de Seara is owned by publisher Dinu Patriciu, the richest person in Romania. Patriciu invested “several million euros” in the free evening daily, Razvan Corneteanu, general director of Adevarul Holding, told HotNews.ro.
After one week, the paper aims distribute about 500,000 copies. They also predict distributing 700,000 to one million copies each day by next year, Newspaper Innovation reported.
Adevarul de Seara will have the highest circulation in Romania with 500,000 copies. Liberatea, a paid daily, distributes about 250,000 copies a day, according to Newspaper Innovation.
