Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) President Raj Thackeray announced on Tuesday he plans to launch a new Marathi-language newspaper in India, The Times of India reported Wednesday.

“Some ground work has been done and other details are being worked out,” Raj said.

Raj would not discuss whether his newspaper would be an “MNS mouthpiece” or an independent newspaper, and would not comment on a paper recently launched by Narayan Rane, revenue minister and former Shiv Sena leader, The Times of India reported.
