Free titles City Press, Metro and Metropolis were the most well read newspapers in Greece between March and September 2008, according to the latest research by Bari, Newspaper Innovation reported Friday.
City Press topped the list with a readership of 295,000, up 14 percent year-on-year from 2007.
Metro came in next with 280,000 readers, up 25 percent, while Metropolis was in the third spot with a readership of 183,000 readers, up 16 percent, according to Newspaper Innovation.
Ta Nea is the fourth with 174,000 readers, followed by Ethnos, Eleftherotypia, and Elefhteros.
Compared to 2007, all paid papers lost readership, Newspaper Innovation reported.
