Germany's total video viewing audience totalled 26 million people in May, with more than three billion videos watched that month, according to comScore Video Metrix.

According to the data, in SFN's latest report, A Publishers Guide to New Technologies, 74.7 percent of all online users in Germany watched video online during this period, watching a total of 202 million hours of video content.

Just as in the United Kingdom and France, Google sites, including online video market leader YouTube, were the most accessed sites in Germany. More than 14.9 million viewers watched more than one billion videos on YouTube, or 75.4 videos each, according to comScore Video Metrix.

Following was Vivendi, on which more than 12.7 million people viewed video. Others included ProSiebenSat1 sites, RTL Group sites, Microsoft sites, Viacom Digital, and Yahoo! sites, which were far behind with less than 5.5 million unique visitors each, according to the report, A Publishers Guide to New Technologies, released by SFN and the World Association of Newspapers.
