Sky News and Times Online will share video content on their sites, Journalism.co.uk reported Monday.
The shared content will centre on business, UK and foreign news. Sky News footage will be coupled with analysis from the newspaper's commentators, and breaking news video from Sky News will still run on Times Online under the new deal, according to a release from Sky News.
“We have very experienced journalists in places around the world that few other news organisations reach and this partnership will help us to deliver compelling footage to complement the outstanding writing of our specialist editors, reporters and correspondents,” James Harding, editor of the Times, stated in the release, according to Journalim.co.uk.
John Jelley, Sky News producer, has led the new partnership project and also helped introduce new video facilities in the Times newsroom.
