Baidu, Google's biggest search engine rival in China, will overhaul its services, Media Post reported.
The site has been accused of "allowing unlicensed suppliers to fake documents and buy their way up the search results," according to Ars Technica.
Many users had complained about paying a lot for products and services found on Baidu's search engine, which later proved ineffective.
The search engine leader in China expects to launch a new ad platform, called Phoenix Nest, which will reveal more information about companies listed in search queries. Baidu also aims to improve search result rankings and resolve some recent problems regarding competitive ranking, Media Post reported.
