OC Register launches self-service ads

Orange County (California) Register Communications Inc. has unveiled a self-service application from Wave2 Media Solutions in hopes that small business owners will create and submit their own online advertisements, Newspapers&Technology reported.

Users can create ads for Orange County, California The Register, or any of the company's other 23 community newspapers, such as The Gazette in Colorado Springs, and The Monitor in McAllen, Texas.

Self-serve programmes for display and classified advertising are available on OCRegister.com, and advertisers who need assistance can use a live online chat, e-mail or call a toll-free number, Newspapers&Technology reported.
