The Huffington Post has partnered with online news outlet Global Post for more international news, Journalism.co.uk reported Wednesday.
GlobalPost.com won't officially launch until January 12 next year, but its reports have already been published on the U.S.-based Huffington Post's beta world section. The two have a syndication deal.
GlobalPost has 70 correspondents in 50 countries, and also made a syndication deal with VietNamNet, a Vietnamese news Web site, according to Journalism.co.uk.
"The Huffington Post is a leading innovator in this space. By providing great stories reported by our team of correspondents throughout the world, we are building our brand with the right audience, driving traffic, and shedding light on interesting and important global issues," Philip S. Balboni, GlobalPost.com CEO, stated in a press release.
