Orange France has been ordered by the Paris Commercial Court to allow competitors into its Orange Sport Channel, Les Echos reported, according to Telecompaper. If the move is not implemented in less than a month, Orange will face a fine of €50,000 per day.
Orange bundled its products so that none can be bought singly. The sport channel is currently offered only to ADSL Internet subscribers, which is unfairly competitive, according to SFR, one of the ISPs that brought the case. France Telecom said it will study the ruling before making a final decision, Telecompaper.com reported.
