Financial Times incoporates digital signage at key London retail points

The Financial Times has collaborated with Amscreen to offer content via digital signs at key retail locations around London, Digital Sign Expo reported on Friday.

The screens located above FT newspaper stands, will offer breaking news as well as comment and analysis in an attempt to create recognition for the paper and its content.

The FT will use Amscreen plug-and-play digital signage technology allowing constant content updates from off sight locations.

Simon Sugar, CEO at U.K.-based Amscreen, believes the addition of digital signage will benefit the FT.

"We are also confident that this will help to increase sales," he said.

Greg Zorthian, global circulation director and president of the Americas for the London-based publisher, sees the signage as an important point of focus for the papers content.

"The FT prides itself on providing readers with niche, global content 24/7. Highlighting what is underneath the cover at key retail locations helps showcase the quality of our journalism to a wider audience and brings the FT experience to life to new and existing customers," he said.
