McClatchy launches Sunday Select pre-print ads

U.S. publisher McClatchy Company on Tuesday announced its launch of a new, pre-print advertising programme in its four largest growth markets.

Sunday Select aims to reach more Sunday shoppers through delivering pre-printed ads to non-subscribers in targeted postal code areas. The programme gives advertisers "a wonderful opportunity to expand their footprint and influence in some of the best markets in the country and reach the most active shoppers living in those markets."

The four markets will be in Sacramento, California; Kansas City; Tacoma, Washington; and Columbia, South Carolina. It will begin in those markets Nov. 15 and may expand to other markets next year.

Sunday Select was first developed in 2007 by Gannett Co., Inc., and is in place in several of the publisher's markets, according to Editor & Publisher.
