Media Wales closes 2 papers

Trinity Mirror Group-owned Media Wales today announced the closure of two "loss-making" weekly newspapers in south Wales, the Neath and Port Talbot Guardians, BBC News reported today.

As a result of the closures and the reduction of the company's magazine publishing operations, 15 jobs will be lost.

"We thank readers of the title for their support and will continue to serve them with news through our Web site, WalesOnline.co.uk and through the news pages of the Western Mail," said Publishing Director Alan Edmunds, according to the BBC.
