China Mobile Ltd., the leading mobile operator in the country, has cooperated with the Xinhua News Agency to launch a mobile digital newspaper for the upcoming 2010 Shanghai World Expo, according to the Shanghai Daily.
This digital product will provide multimedia content, including video, audio and images. It will be first sent to more than 40 million China Mobile subscribers during the event, which takes place from May 1 to Oct. 31, according to the China Knowledge article posted on Alibaba.
Subscribers to the paper will be able to submit user-generated content, such as images or texts, to the platform, Xinhua Net reported.
According to the executive committee of the event, World Expo is expected to reach 70 million visitors, including domestic and international.
