The creators of the Pulse iPad app have submitted a new version without The New York Times RSS feed as a default, All Things D's Kara Swisher reported yesterday.

This comes after The Times sent a takedown request to Apple on Tuesday, because the app is paid and therefore violates The Times' terms and conditions. The Pulse's creators are Stanford University Institute of Design students Akshay Kothari and Ankit Gupta.
