Online ads in Poland grow by 50 percent

The Polish online market is rapidly growing, according to a report published by Internet Standard.

According to SMG/KRC NetTrack, online penetration in Poland reached 42 percent in 2007, or 12.8 million users aged 15 and above. And nearly 65 percent of these users logged on every day.


The Polish online advertising market rose by 50 percent in 2007, reaching €115 million (US$158 million), IAB Polska pointed out. Search advertising made up 27 percent of the total, or €30.5 million, while all other formats accounted for €84.5 million.

In 2006, the market value totaled €76 million (US$96 million), while the search ad market was worth €16.6 million, and other formats €60 million.

Internet advertising now accounts for more than five percent of all media spending in Poland. It is also the fastest-growing sector in the country, eMarketer reported.
