Adicio, developer of Web-based classified advertising, is to operate online real estate classifieds for 12 of MediaNews Groups Inc. sites, the groups announced Tuesday in a press release. NewsGroup is the fourth largest newspaper company in the United States, serving 1.9 million readers a day across nine daily newspapers.

Adicio is to develop the real estate classifieds for MediaNews group sites: LowellSun.com, Homes in York,  TwinCities.com and the Los Angeles Newspaper Group: the Los Angeles Daily News, the Long Beach Press-Telegram, Torrence Daily Breeze, Inland Valley Daily Bulletin, San Bernardino Sun, San Gabriel Valley Tribune, Pasadena Star-News, Whittier Daily News, and Redland Daily Facts. The LA newspaper network reaches 2.7 million unique visitors a month.
"We're excited to provide MediaNews Group and the Los Angeles Newspaper Group with the technology necessary to broaden, enhance and deliver results across their diverse properties," Joy Hanawa, chief knowledge officer and general manager of real estate at Adicio, said in the press release.

Potential home owners and renters can search for properties for sale and for rent or search local  listings and foreclosures across all sites. Users using LowellSun.com, New Homes in York, TwinCities.com or the Los Angeles Daily News also include detailed community information about homes, communities, schools, and neighborhoods.

"Adicio was able to resolve our MLS feed issues and provide us with a self-service system that truly automates our online transactions," Susan Kelly-Gilbert, director of multimedia sales and real estate for MediaNews Group, said in the press release.
