Guardian.co.uk continues popularity reign online

Guardian.co.uk continued to draw the most visitors among online UK newspapers through the month of May, with 27.2 million visitors for the month, MediaWeek reported on Wednesday.
Telegraph.co.uk saw a dramatic boost, with 25.2 million unique visitors to the Web site, stimulated by its exposure of the MP misconduct.

ABCe data for May had the Mirror Group Digital, showing the most rapid
growth in global visitors, with an 80 percent increase from a year a
before, to 8.7 million online guests for May. Mail online rounded out
the bottom of the global growth levels with a 31.7 percent increase to
24.6 million visitors.
Mirror Group Digital was also the fastest growing newspaper website within the UK with a year to year increase of 72.4 percent to 4.5 million local visitors. Guardian.co.uk had the lowest local growth, up 29.7%, to 9.9 million.
