Negotiations are ongoing with the union that represents 475 of the paper's 900 strong staff.
At El Vocero, employees represented by the Journalists and Graphic Artists Union have agreed to strike over the newspaper's proposal to cut benefits and terminate the internal Circulation department. The concessions come as the newspaper attempts to save money without cutting jobs.
The union represents 200 of El Vocero's 300 staff.
