The Council of Ministers has enacted a law that makes publishers liable – in addition to manager directors - for the publication of information obtained through illegal wiretaps. In such cases, publishers and manager directors have to pay a fine of 50 cents for every hard copy distributed, or an amount between 50,000 and 1,000,000 Euros if the dissemination has occurred by radio, TV or internet. In any case, the minimum fine is 10,000 Euros. Newsletter for Directors of WAN Member Associations, January 3, 2007
