A new Hispanic community paper is now available in the Tri-Cities, Washington, withost of the stories written in both Spanish and English. The free newspaper is called Tu Decides, which translates into You Decide, and covers issues that affect the Hispanic community. Owners said investors from around the state have expressed interest in the paper, which targets those that speak English, Spanish or both.
Director of Marketing Blanca Torres said her mom only speaks Spanish, but her children only speak English, and this paper gives her children and her mother a way to communicate."To see my parents and my children reading the newspaper together was a dream come true. We've never had anything like that. We've never had a resource that could provide information from the community to all three generations," she said. http://www.kndo.com/Global/story.asp?S=5974587&nav=menu484_2_7; January 23, 2007
