One of the infotainment channels will be a regional general entertainment channel in Marathi, to be called Saam Marathi, and the other will be a national general entertainment in Hindi, to be called Saam Hindi. Saam Marathi's launch is expected to come in April 2008, while Saam Hindi isn't expected to launch until September 2008, Exchange4media reported.

“The content for both the channels would be different, and we are planning to come up with different ideas on the genre of reality shows,” said Sanjay Dabke, head of TV projects at Sakaal Group, according to Exchange4media. “Most of our shows will be interactive, whereby the audience will experience that they are a part of the process. We are also coming up with a lot of children-based informative shows.”

There will also be time slots targeted at women, in which the audience will be able to participate and connect to the channel, Dabke said.

The group will launch the English-language daily in Pune in April 2008, and then release it in phases in other major cities across the country. Prices and promotional activities have not been finalised.
