Das Stadtblatt focuses on opinion, not on news, prints more long stories than most newspapers, and does not use much colour, according Newspaper Innovation.

The paper has a print run of 46,000 copies, and is home delivered.

The paper cost three Swiss franks and was distributed on Thursdays, both of which ended on the last day of 2007. Guido Blumer, the paper's publisher, hopes to break even in two to three years, according to Newspaper Innovation.
