Trinity Mirror acquires Web design company

Trinity Mirror Plc has bought UK Web design and development consultancy agency Rippleffect Studio in an effort to branch out revenue streams and increase interest in sport and leisure media, the UK Association of Online Publishers (AOP) reported Wednesday.
Trinity Mirror bought Rippleffect for an initial £3.2 million, plus an additional £2.6 million, contingent on success over the upcoming three years, according to journalism.co.uk.
Through the vast diversification of revenue streams within the acquisition, it offers customers mixed e-marketing and online services with print, AOP reported.
“This acquisition brings together Trinity Mirror’s specialist sports publications and Rippleffect’s specials sports web development under on roof, enabling us to substantially grow our revenues in this important sector,” said Sly Bailey, CEO of Trinity Mirror, according to RTT News.
Rippleffect is predicted to produce revenues of approximately £3 million within the first of ownership, Trinity Mirror stated in a press release, according to Journalism.co.uk.
