A year after the launch of the weekend edition of RedEye, 100,000 opt-in subscribers have requested home delivery of the Chicago Tribune's free daily tabloid, Editor & Publisher reported Monday.
Readers must request the weekend edition, which is home-delivered only.
About 200,000 copies of RedEye are handed out Monday through Friday, and are available in newsboxes and stacks within Chicago, especially at subway and train stations.
Brad Moore, general manager of RedEye, said in a statement that reaching the 100,000 mark for weekend request home-delivery “further validates” the “loyal following” RedEye has in Chicago. “We’re excited about the opportunity this provides for advertisers looking to target them at the ZIP code level,” he stated, according to E&P.
