Union and non-union employees were offered buyouts, and have until next week to apply. Newspaper executives plan to cut 35 union jobs, and have not released the number of non-union positions they plan to eliminate, Robert Bickler, the company's president and general manager, told the Press Herald.

“Nothing's off the table, there's just a whole range of things we're looking at,” said Charles Cochrane, the newspaper's publisher, according to the Press Herald.
