Asia-Pacific predicted to be biggest future ad spender

Asian online advertising will continue to grow at rapid rates, Inquirer.net has reported.
Japanese companies are at the top, predicted to spend more than US$2.5 billion on online advertising next year. Chinese companies, meanwhile, are expected to reach the same figure by 2010.
In Singapore, online ad revenues may triple from $91 million to $256 million between 2004 and 2009.
The numbers were obtained through AdTech Singapore, a conference focusing on “interactive and digital advertising and marketing,” Inquirer.net reported.
As traditional media, like TV and newspapers, grow Internet ad expenditure is expected to mount, said Mark Read, chief executive of WPP, accordingInquirer.net.
