Oldest European free daily introduces new design

Spanish free daily Mini Diario has launched a complete make-over, according to Newspaper Innovation.
The new design is much more modern, using the same tone of colour throughout the paper, according to the report.
Launched in 1992 in Valencia, Mini Diario is the oldest free daily in Europe. It has different editions for Valencia and Alicante, and the content can be downloaded from the Web site in pdf format, according to Newspaper Innovation.
The title prints 16 pages on most days, and the current circulation is about 70,000.
The oldest ‘black and white’ design can be viewed on the ‘history page’ on the Web site, while later versions used colour but not on every page, Newspaper Innovation reported.
