Telegraph.co.uk has closed a deal with Blinkx to run a diverse range of Telegraph TV footage on its site along with significant ads. The companies will split the earned ad revenue, Brand Republic reported Tuesday.
Clips of breaking news, business analysis and arts and entertainment, as well as weekly shows, will be featured on Telegraph TV.
“We believe our content is up there with the best on the web, and we want to make sure that it reaches as many people as possible,” said Mike Moore, general manager of digital at Telegraph Media Group, according to Brand Republic.
All ad videos are scanned to verify the theme of content, using Blinkx’s video advertising platform, AdHoc. Blinkx has more than 350 partners and 26 million hours of indexed video and audio content such as video blogs, news clips, short documentaries and music videos, Brand Republic reported.
“News searchers are among the most popular on our site, and we’re constantly improving our audience experience by adding high-quality, diverse coverage of current affairs to our index,” said Suranga Chandratillake, founder and chief executive of Blinkx, according to Brand Republic.
