U.S. Internet users as well as online ad revenues are expected to grow steadily in the period from 2006 to 2011, according to Yankee Group and the Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB), SFN's World Digital Media Trends 2008 reported.
The U.S. online population only accounted for 190.5 million in 2006. However, the number increases every year and is expected to reach 200 million by 2009, and then exceed 205 million in 2011.
Online ad revenues in the country, on the other hand, are rising throughout the years, too, according to Yankee Group and IAB. The revenues will boost from US$17 billion in 2006 to more than $34 billion in 2009, and will reach more than $50 billion in 2011, the research groups predict, according to the World Digital Media Trends 2008 report, released by SFN and the World Association of Newspapers.
