SFN report: U.S. has highest mobile Internet penetration in February 2009

Mobile Internet penetration reached 18.2 percent in the United States in February 2009, the highest among the countries surveyed. It reached 16.9 percent of mobile subscribers in the United Kingdom in the first quarter of 2009, according to the Nielsen Company. In France, Italy and Spain, the penetration was more than 12 percent, while in Germany it was 9.6 percent.
Among the BRIC countries, Russia had the highest penetration, which was 11.9 percent in the first quarter of 2008.
